Burgermaster Introduces Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer — A Classic Craft Root Beer Inspired by Family Tradition
SEATTLE, WA — Burgermaster is proud to announce the launch of Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer, a premium craft root beer inspired by the legacy of Burgermaster founder Phil Jensen and generations of family tradition.
Named in honor of “Grandpa Phil,” the new root beer reflects the same commitment to quality and hospitality that has defined Burgermaster for decades. Made with real cane sugar and no artificial flavors, Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer delivers a rich, classic root beer taste.
The recipe was developed under the direction of third-generation owner Alex Jensen, Phil’s grandson, whose lifelong love of root beer inspired the project.
“Growing up, root beer was always something special to me, so when the old Triple XXX Root Beer location in Issaquah became available it felt like serendipity.” said Alex Jensen. “At Burgermaster, we believe in serving food and drinks we’d proudly serve our own family. Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer represents that commitment — simple ingredients, authentic flavor, and something we’re genuinely excited to share with our customers.”
Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer was created to complement the timeless Burgermaster experience while honoring the company’s roots as a family-owned Pacific Northwest institution. The beverage combines nostalgic flavor with high-quality ingredients, resulting in a smooth, refreshing root beer, with a hint of spice, crafted for longtime fans and new guests alike.
Grandpa Phil’s Root Beer debuted at Burgermaster Issaquah during the grand opening celebration for drive-in dining on Tuesday, May 26, and was met with wild success. As of July 1st, Grandpa Phils will be available for guests to enjoy at all locations.
